With spring just around the corner, student-athletes everywhere are mentally and physically preparing for the upcoming season. Broken Arrow High School’s Evan Boss is one of those players.
The senior goalkeeper for the Tigers soccer team is looking forward to competing in his final year of prep soccer.
“Ultimately the goal this season is to win a state championship,” said Boss.
Boss said being a student-athlete at BAHS is great thanks to the support the school and student body gives the team.
“I love all the support we get at our games. It really makes it fun when we have so many people show up for our games,” said Boss.
Like his teammates, Boss has continued to work on his game in the hope of helping his team win, but his leadership skills could be the biggest difference this season. As a team, Boss said his teammates play for one another and make sacrifices for the team.
“I think I’ve really improved at being a leader this year,” said Boss. “I love how they all play unselfish and put everything on the line for the team.”
In the classroom, Boss said his favorite subject is math. Boss is involved in National Honor Society, COLABASH, and the senior athletic leadership council.
“My favorite subject in school is math and my favorite teacher is Mr. Thompson who teaches leadership,” said Boss. “I plan on playing soccer in college and studying computer science.”
In his free time, Boss said he enjoys lifting weights and watching soccer.
