Broken Arrow’s Emily Evans – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Timber Wolf Excavating

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Emily: My goals for this upcoming season are to win a State Championship and get Player of the Year.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Emily: My sport has taught me that you will get worse before you get better and you need to be patient and trust the process.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Emily: My favorite teacher is Coach Buckmaster from 7th grade. I loved his class so much and he was a very good teacher and was always making some jokes in class.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Emily: My Dad really inspires me the most because he used to be an athlete when he was younger, so he knows what it’s like going through the process when he was my age, and he has really pushed me to be the best I can possibly be.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Emily: Presley Coke has left the biggest impression on me the most because the past season she played the middle with me and she became like a sister to me and we communicated well and she was pushing me while I was pushing her.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Emily: My favorite part about being on a team is making long lasting friendships with the girls on my team and traveling with each other and winning ball games together and having each other’s backs.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Emily: For my summer vacation I would go to the Bahamas with my sister. I would take my sister with me because I love her so much and she has always been the best big sister to me and has always given me good advice.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Emily: I’m very passionate about my sport because I love playing softball, I love putting in the work to be great and I don’t like losing so I put everything out on the field.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Emily: I would like to thank my parents for where I am right now because I wouldn’t be where I am without them. They have done so much for me to be where I’m at. They have sacrificed so much for me. Love you Mom and Dad.
