We caught up with Broken Arrow senior Cori Webb who was coming off a memorable season on the diamond.
VYPE: Cori, how long have you played softball and what do you love most about the game?
Cori Webb: I’ve played softball for 13 years and I enjoy playing with my best friends the most.
VYPE: Which teammate is the loudest from the dugout and who always goes home with the dirtiest uniform?
CW: Payton Wells is the loudest in the dugout and Ary or Laney always goes home with the dirtiest uniform.
VYPE: What have you enjoyed most about being with this group of teammates at BAHS?
CW: I love the bonds we’ve made and how well we support one another.
VYPE: What did you learn about your game last season that you applied to this season?
CW: I learned to clear your head for the next play, and it helped me this season because even after I struggled at the plate, I would clear my head and make a good defensive play.
VYPE: What’s the strength of your game?
CW: Defense is my strength and hitting is what I need to improve.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
CW: Coach Childers inspires me because he’s always supportive.
VYPE: Tell us which former teammate left an impression on you?
CW: Kenya left an impression on me to always move forward with the next day and even though you’re struggling to continue to cheer on your teammate’s success. Kenya graduated in the class of 2025.
VYPE: What are your plans for life after high school?
CW: I want to go to The University of Oklahoma to become an occupational therapist or a pediatric nurse.
