Broken Arrow Swim Team
When the Tigers take to the water this season, head coach Breonna Davis will compete with several state qualifiers on the boys roster. Coach Davis said the team has great chemistry and a solid work ethic.
“Our team is not the fastest or the biggest, but our camaraderie is the best and when that’s in check the rest will follow. Our team never gives up and we will continue to build our competition and relationships,” said coach Davis.
Cayden Weingartner (Sr.) is one of the Top 8 swimmers in the state. Coach Davis said Weingartner brings a “fun atmosphere but also pushes the competition.” Weingartner is one of four seniors on the team which includes Carson Sams (Sr.), Alex Foegelle (Sr.), and Mark Romaniahin (Sr.).
The junior class is loaded with talent that includes Max Bello (Jr.), another swimmer who ranks in the top of his field. Bello is joined by Ethan Hawksworth (Jr.), Evan Marchewka (Jr.), Jesse Sawyer (Jr.), and Kaden Snider (Jr.). Hawksworth, Marchewka and Sawyer are all state qualifiers.
Sophomore Cael Dours is a state qualifier and coach Davis said he has not reached his full potential yet. Dours and fellow sophomore Holden Caruth are poised for big seasons. Also look for freshmen Noah Garrison and Adrian Duran.
The girls team is led by seniors Shelby Allee who is a state qualifier and Kamber Iten who is in the top 16 of her group. Both are poised for great seasons in the pool.
Another swimmer at the top of her game is Lily Burks (Jr.). Burks has the tools to do something great this season. Lydia Roberts (Jr.), and Hayley Smith (Jr.) round out the junior class for coach Davis.
The underclassman group is loaded with a lot of potential. Sophomores Brooke Kramer and Lilliann Skinner are both Top 8 swimmers for BA. Eden Brooks (So.), Chloe Hodge (So.), Jasmine Odutayo (So.), Elizabeth Tomlinson (Fr.), and Adalyn Zinter (Fr.) are all working hard to make this a great year. Hodge has turned heads early this season and coach Davis is excited to see where she can go from here.
