Senior Macy Marraccini is one of the top players in Oklahoma. VYPE Magazine caught up with the senior to discuss the upcoming season.
VYPE: Macy, what was your stat line last season?
Macy Marraccini: I scored 10.1 points a game with 4.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds.
VYPE: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
MM: Getting to play college basketball and earning a free college education.
VYPE: What is your process to getting better?
MM: To get as many game speed reps as possible. Train 110 percent every day and start your days off working out early in the AM!
VYPE: Which current or former teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
MM: My current teammate McKenzie Mathurin. Kenz displays what hard work is and no matter what gets in your way to never give up.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
MM: Sabrina Ionescu. She inspires me because I love her game and how passionate she is about everything. She has lifted women’s sports and give back to communities.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite teacher at BAHS?
MM: Mrs. Cantwell. She is always there for me and encourages me on and off the court.
VYPE: What is the best advice anyone has given you?
MM: In order to be successful, I need to be more disciplined than motivated. Motivation can get you there but being disciplined shows results and that has stuck with me ever since.
VYPE: Who would you like to give a shout-out to?
MM: My family, coaches, trainers, mentors, and teammates for pushing me to be my best and being there for me through thick and thin!
VYPE: Where can we find you on social media?
