
VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been playing volleyball?
Candace Fuchs: I’m in 12th grade and I’ve been playing for six years.
VYPE: Do you prefer jump serve or standing serve and why?
CF: I prefer a jump serve because I’m more comfortable with it and I like the excitement of it.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
CF: My teammates are like family to me and that’s what I love most about them.
VYPE: What opponent did you look forward to playing this season?
CF: I’ve always looked forward to playing Booker T. Washington because of the intensity.
VYPE: What teammate is always going to the floor for a dig?
CF: Olivia Shanahan, BA’s libero, is always going to the floor for a dig.
VYPE: What are your plans for after graduation?
CF: I plan on playing college volleyball after I graduate.
VYPE: What makes being a student-athlete at Broken Arrow special to you?
CF: Being a student-athlete at Broken Arrow is special to me because of the community’s encouragement to excel in academics, athletics and every aspect of life.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life and why?
CF: My mother has been a big influence in my life because she has taught me so many life and social skills, and has always been there for me.
VYPE: Name three people you would want with you in a zombie apocalypse.
CF: I would want my mom, dad and brother with me in a zombie apocalypse.
