Coming into the 2023-24 swim season, several teams and individuals are poised for great seasons. The Broken Arrow swim team is in that group and one of their swimmers to watch this season is only a freshman.
Brooke Kramer may only be a freshman, but she is swimming three events for the varsity team this season.
“I swim the butterfly, backstroke, and freestyle. It’s an honor to be able to represent Broken Arrow High School sports because they value hard work, sportsmanship, and community,” said Kramer.
Kramer said the team is coming together and she enjoys the energy and attitude of her teammates.
“The team is coming together well. We are all working really hard this season to help achieve our goals. I love the good positive attitudes and fun energy that is fostered within the team,” said Kramer.
The goal for the season is to continue to work and get better as the season moves closer to the state meet.
“My goals are to swim well this season, and to hopefully be able to represent BAHS at state,” said Kramer.
In the classroom, Kramer is a member of National Honor Society, and student leadership. The freshman said she has a favorite subject and enjoys all of her teachers.
“My favorite subject is biology. At BA I’ve been lucky to have many great teachers throughout my years and it’s hard to pick just one,” said Kramer.
When she’s not in the pool you can find Kramer hanging out with family, friends, and her dogs. Her plans for the future include college and possibly more swimming.
“I plan to attend a university and hopefully compete as a student-athlete, while presuming a degree in aviation.”
