As wrestling season gets underway, we caught up with Broken Arrow wrestler Sophia Reece for this edition of 9 Questions.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what are you wrestling at this season?
Reece: I am a sophomore, and I am the 110-pounds for Broken Arrow High school girls wrestling.
VYPE: How is the team coming along?
Reece: As a team we have grown so much over the past couple of years with Tori Lyles by our side. We challenge each other and push each other to get better while also being each other’s support system.
VYPE: Tell me what you love most about your teammates?
Reece: What I love most about my teammates is that they are always there for me. If I ever need advice, they are there or even just to laugh.
VYPE: What is the best thing about being a student-athlete at Broken Arrow High School?
Reece: What I love most about being an athlete at Broken Arrow is the tight-knit community. I know I have people to go to and have a support system even at this huge school.
VYPE: What is the goal for this season?
Reece: My goal for this season is continuing to grow and get better every day.
VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?
Reece: I don’t belong to any clubs at the high school, but I am a student at Broken Arrow Vanguard Academy.
VYPE: Do you have a favorite subject?
Reece: I don’t have a favorite subject, but my favorite class is Design Rotation, which is a human centered engineering class where we get to make a real impact in our community.
VYPE: You don’t graduate until 2026, but what would you like to do after you graduate?
Reece: After I graduate, I want to go to college, and make fun and memorable memories experiences.
VYPE: What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Reece: In my free time I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, baking, watching movies, and playing card games.
