
VYPE: Garrett, what grade are you in this year and what weight are you wrestling?
Stinchcomb: I am a senior at Broken Arrow High School, and I’m wrestling at 175-pounds.
VYPE: What do you love most about the sport of wrestling?
Stinchcomb: The hard work and commitment that it takes to be a wrestler.
VYPE: Tell me what you love most about your team and teammates at BAHS?
Stinchcomb: They are my brothers they always like to laugh and have fun but when it’s time to go, we go.
VYPE: Do you play any other sports or belong to any clubs or groups at school?
Stinchcomb: When I was younger, I did sports other than wrestling but wrestling was always number one, now it’s the only thing I do.
VYPE: What are the expectations or goals for this season?
Stinchcomb: The goal for this year is becoming 6A state champ.
VYPE: What are your plans after you graduate?
Stinchcomb: I am still undecided.
VYPE: What does it mean to you to be a BA wrestler?
Stinchcomb: Wrestling for BA is more than just yourself, it’s a legacy that you have to live up to and the only way you become a part of it is winning.
VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school, and do you have a favorite teacher? Stinchcomb: I would say my favorite subject in school is history. My favorite teacher has to be Mr. Kennedy.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life?
Stinchcomb: The person who has been the biggest influence on my life has to be my dad. He pushed me to be my best and to never quit and is always giving me knowledge.
