When Jordyn Davis was in elementary school, she played multiple sports, but softball has always been her favorite.
“Softball has always been my sport, but I did cheer some when I was younger. I stopped cheering in sixth grade,” said Davis.
Now a senior at Broken Arrow High School, Davis is a member of the varsity softball team and is looking forward to another great season.
“I most excited about hoping to one up our season last year and winning a state championship after being runner up last year. We have a really good chance. Plus, just enjoying my last season with my girls. I have enjoyed most about the Broken Arrow softball team is the relationships I’ve made with my teammates and coaches. I will cherish our memories forever,” said Davis.
The senior is quick to mention her teammates and turn the focus to their contributions.
“A few teammates you should keep an eye on would be junior pitcher Cali Lurance who is
stepping in as our starting pitcher. Plus, fellow seniors Aliya Scarbrough and Maysie Childers. What I love most about our group is how everyone is starting to come together and realize we have a good chance. We are all playing for each other and for the same goal. We also have a great time together,” said Davis.
Also involved in National Honor Society and Advanced Leadership, while Davis is excited for her final year of prep softball, she is looking forward to the next chapter of her life.
“I want my class to be remembered for our leadership and just as a positive outlook to our younger players. In college I plan to major in biological sciences at the University of Missouri S&T where I’m continuing my softball career,” said Davis.
